When Marc Trestman moved into a Chicago-area home in August, it was somewhat of a story because the house cost $2.94 million and included a hardwood basketball court with a Bulls logo as well as a home movie theater and a wine cellar.
But apparently that mansion isn't big enough for the Bears' coach, who is entering his second year in charge of the team. This week Trestman listed his home for $3.495 million. Listing agent Milena Birov of @properties discussed why the Trestmans are moving out.
"The house works well for them," Birov told Crain's Chicago Business, "but they want a bigger house."
A bigger house, huh? According to the Chicago Tribune, this house has 6 1/2 baths, a cherry wood library and sits on a .33 acre lot. It was built last year. It's not like Trestman has a huge family (he is married with two daughters in their early 20s), but perhaps he likes having people over.
Last year Trestman did have a rather large gathering on Thanksgiving:

Perhaps Trestman is gearing up for an extended stay in Chicago. While the Bears didn't make the playoffs in his first season, they did finish 8-8 and second in the NFC North. An offensive guru, Trestman was brought in largely to mentor Jay Cutler and improve the Bears offense, which he has done. Thanks to a shored-up offensive line and Pro Bowlers at running back (Matt Forte) and receiver (Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall), the normally defensive-minded Bears had the NFL's eighth-ranked offense last season. After the season Cutler signed a seven-year, $126.7 million contract.
