The Seahawks' big win was a huge loss for Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale.

The Houston furniture store owner, who lost $600,000 on the NFL's conference championship games two weeks ago, vowed he would "never do another contest" after that fiasco.

But he changed his mind in the lead-up to the Super Bowl and offered to reimburse everyone who spent at least $6,000 on furniture in the weeks before the Super Bowl if the Seahawks won.

You'd think Sunday was rather miserable for McIngvale, seeing as the Seahawks took the lead at the opening snap and went on to crush the Broncos, 43-8. Thousands took McIngvale up on the offer, and he'll end up dishing out $7 million in reimbursements.

Still, McIngvale deserves credit for making lemonade out of lemons.

"In the long term, we made a lot of happy customers," McIngvale said. "That's what it's all about: Building customers for life."
