It appears that ABC wasn't the only organization having some trouble spelling names in the past week. An eagle-eyed reporter at USA Today, among others, spotted a plaque in honor of Orioles catcher Matt Wieters' home run that landed in front of the historical warehouse (a pretty rare feat) spelled Wieters' name incorrectly.

"I can't believe that," Wieters told the newspaper, before rushing off to tell the Orioles' coordinator of baseball information about the mistake.

The organization later told USA Today that they were in process of fixing the mistake.

Hopefully the Orioles' win over Detroit on Sunday night softened the blow a bit for Wieters. Which by the way, is a great example of the rule "I before E".
