What did Justin Verlander ever do to deserve this?
The ace Detroit Tigers hurler, who reportedly had a fling with Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton, can't be feeling too good right now. Earlier this week, Upton sent out a vague tweet which appeared to be dissing Verlander.
Then, just days later Upton was spotted out in New York City "getting cozy" with none other than Los Angeles Clippers superstar Blake Griffin.
A source told E! News that Griffin (and his entourage, which included teammate DeAndre Jordan) met up with Upton at the nightclub Beauty & Essex. After snacking on lobster tacos and stuffed peppers, things reportedly heated up between Griffin, 24, and Upton, 21:
"While everyone in the group, which included a few Beauty & Essex staffers who are longtime friends of Blake's, appeared to be having "a great time," it was the basketball star and Kate who were cozying up to one another in the club. A source says the pair "were cuddling and holding hands, although they were not seen making out. They seemed pretty cute together."
The New York Post received a similar tip:
“The entire party looked like they were all having a great time in each other’s company," a source told Page Six, "specifically Upton and Griffin who were very cozy with each other."
Reports indicate that Upton may be seeing Maksim Chmerkovskiy of Dancing With The Stars, but several months ago she was also linked to P. Diddy. In other words, romancing Upton might not be easy, but it's clear that Griffin's got more to his game than just slam dunks.
