In what seems to be an attempt to finally put to rest the hubbub over his alleged clubbing and drinking with Rihanna a few nights before falling ill during the playoffs, J.R. Smith took to Instagram on Friday afternoon with a post of his own.

The mercurial shooter had been blasted by fans and commentators after being reportedly spotted at Jay-Z's 40/40 club with Rihanna in the middle of the playoffs. Smith later came down with an illness that left him looking slightly dazed on the court and struggling with his shot during part of the Knicks-Pacers series.

After enough people blasted her for being a bad influence, Rihanna allegedly lashed out on Instagram with her own version of the events before Thursday's game, sparking a whole new buzz about Smith's partying -- something he had talked about avoiding this season.

Based on a screenshot posted by Larry Brown Sports, Rihanna told another Instagram user that "(Smith's) a-- be hungover from clubbing every night during playoffs."

Smith and the Knicks had been mute about the allegations of his partying. "I'm not worried about Instagram," Smith told reporters Thursday night. "I'm worried about the playoffs."

But the win over Indiana in Game 5 to keep the Knicks' season alive seemed to change all of that.
