After failing to goad Shaq into a fight, Jose Canseco is getting back to baseball. The 48-year-old, now more famous for his 'roid use and his insane tweets than his baseball skills, announced he's restarting his career with the Fort Worth Cats.

Glad to be back and playing professionally. I will always be a baseball player. As long as I can pick up a bat.

Canseco has had previous attempts at a comeback (or maybe they're just his chance to swing the bat again) and certainly isn't the only former major leaguer to step in at a minor league squad. Last year, Roger Clemens sparked comeback rumors when he played for the Sugar Land Skeeters for a short time.
Hopefully this will work out better than Canseco's 2012 stint with the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball's Worcester Tornadoes, where he quit after not getting paid. Earlier this year, he played in the Texas Winter League, going 3-for-20 in six games.
We're also glad it's distracting him from other things -- like whatever else is going on with his "manfume?"
there is a quality control issue with my manfume
