Athletes express their frustration with disappointing finishes in different ways. Some show it on their faces. Others let out the tears in the locker room.

For one Iowa wrestler, simply looking at his second-place medal from the Big Ten tournament was too much, so he tossed it in the trash.

Matt McDonough, a two-time NCAA champion, lost to Illinois' Jesse Delgado in the finals of the competition in Champaign, Ill. And shortly after the match, a student reporter from the Daily Iowan found McDonough's second-place medal in the garbage.

Iowa tends to have one of the top wrestling squads in the nation, and this year is no exception. As one of the leaders of the team, and someone who has come out on top in his weight class before, McDonough was understandably upset. But was this bad sportsmanship?

Apparently, McDonough realized his mistake and was looking to get his hands back on the medal.
