During this year's Iditarod, the 1,000-mile sled dog race which began over the weekend in Alaska, several mushers will be saving precious time by urinating in their pants.

That's right. According to the Anchorage Daily News a few mushers are testing out a new invention called "Pee Pants," a device which allows women to relieve themselves while on the go.

The apparatus consist of bicycle shorts, a funnel and a tube that leads out next to the musher's boot.

Rookie musher Christine Roalofs told the newspaper that the invention is for "people that can't pee but have to pee."

According to the Pee Pants website, the apparatus is especially helpful for women who lead active lifestyles or who are busy on the job, like flight attendants.
