Facebook provided confirmation on what most sports fans had assumed to be the case during the past few months as Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn acknowledged on their respective pages that they are dating. Each posted some photos and a message about their relationship.

Shortly after Woods and Vonn posted the news on their Facebook accounts, Wikipedia had the following entry on Vonn's page:

On March 18, 2013, Tiger Woods announced on his Facebook page that he and Vonn had begun dating. They then broke up following after Tiger admitted to cheating 56 times in the last hour.

Poor syntax aside, the since-deleted crack was probably similar to what a lot of fans were thinking. But it's just another example of why Wikipedia entries should be viewed with a Trust But Verify mindset, given the open access to its pages.
