Due to a rash of recent injuries, many experts are predicting doom for the New York Yankees in 2013.

But even if New York doesn't have as much success as fans would have liked, a new addition to the team assures that the squad will at least have a good read on the 5-day forecast.

Al Roker, the acclaimed weatherman for NBC's Today, stopped by Tampa to take some cuts with the Bronx Bombers. The 58-year-old Roker even donned the pinstripes and took some pointers from New York legend Reggie Jackson.

Roker isn't the first celebrity to suit up for the Yankees. Comedian Billy Crystal, a lifelong Yankees fan, signed a single-day contract with New York in 2008 in advance of his 60th birthday. Crystal played designated hitter and led off for the Yankees during a spring training game that year.
