The most noteworthy occurrence from Monday's matchup between the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Bobcats game was LeBron James' otherworldly performance. By many measures James had the best shooting night of his career, going 13-for-14 for 31 points.

And if James' lights-out execution was the most awe-inspiring part of the night, Shane Battier's slam dunk was a close second.

The veteran swingman, who has primarily been a three-point shooter and defensive specialist for the Heat, threw down a jam on Monday for the first time in three years. You can check out the slam dunk here.

Afterwards, the ever-quotable Battier had some hilarious things to say about his rare feat.

“That one was for all the old guys,” Battier told Ethan J. Skolnick of the Palm Beach Post. "That one was for all the suburban dads out there, who have been told they are over the hill, and they are a step slow, not as good as they once were. I may release a DVD of that. It's like Halley's Comet, you may never see it again in your lifetime."

The dunk was so special that Battier even fired off a few tweets about it:

Hilarious stuff. Well played, Shane.
