Over the weekend we saw a plethora of touching tributes to the victims of Friday's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

On Monday UConn held a tribute before its contest against Maryland-Eastern Shore, and several players thought of their own ways to honor Newtown.

Guard Shabazz Napier wrote "Sandy Hook 26" on his warm-up shirt while center Enosch Wolf scribbled "Sandy Hook" on one shoe and "Be Blessed" on the other.

Another player, Ryan Boatright, fashioned a tribute that may be the first of its kind.

Boatright, a guard from Aurora, Ill., went as far as to write the letters "SH" on his left cheek. The sophomore has two sisters, one eight-years-old and the other ten-years-old.

"It's just heartbreaking," Boatright told the Hartford Courant. "I can only imagine what those families are going through. My prayers go out to the families."
