Peyton Manning has only been in Denver for one year, but he is already popular enough to be tabbed as the voice of Denver International Airport train cars during the holiday season.

Manning is taking over greeting responsibilities from Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. This is no small honor seeing as the holidays tend to be the busiest traveling season of the year.

"For the holidays, I am handing off this very important duty of greeting visitors to our great city to someone known for the best audibles in the business," Hancock told the Denver Post. "Peyton Manning earned this call by going long in his efforts to take the Broncos to another AFC West championship. We'll be cheering on him and the team as they drive toward another Super Bowl!"

Manning is not the first sports figure whose voice has been featured on the train, as last year former Broncos quarterback and current executive vice president of football operations John Elway said, "Go Broncos." Sports radio personality Alan Roach has also recorded a greeting.

Manning's message is as follows:

"Welcome to the Mile High City. This is quarterback Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos, wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season."
