A one-of-a-kind skateboard auction combining popular skaters and world-renowned singers recently concluded, and the results were record-breaking.

An autographed board ridden by Jamie Thomas and also signed by Bob Dylan sold for $38,425, believed to be the highest price ever paid for a single skateboard deck. The board was also adorned with the handwritten lyrics to Dylan's famous song "Blowin' In The Wind" (right).

The auction was the brainchild of musician Ben Harper, who wanted to combine skaters and music icons to help the Tony Hawk Foundation build public skateparks in low-income areas across the country.

Overall, seven pro skaters donated their boards to the auction, which brought in more than $126,000 for the Foundation.

"As a musician, skater, and board member of the Tony Hawk Foundation, I am proud to say that the pairing of professional musicians' lyrics on pro skaters' hard-ridden boards has been a resounding success," Harper said in a statement. "A huge thank you to all the pro skaters and musicians involved in the first of many Boards+Bands collaborations!"

The other seven boards were the following:

--A Bucky Lasek four-deck set signed by Adam "MCA" Yauch and with lyrics from the Beastie Boys' "Bodhisattva Vow" sold for $35,000.
--A Tony Hawk signed deck with lyrics from Paul McCartney's "Blackbird" sold for $27,116.
--A Steve Caballero deck signed by James Hetfield of Metallica sold for $8,600.
--A Mike Vallely deck with a Tom Petty autograph sold for $7,200.
--Harper collaborated with skaters Rodney Mullen and Bob Burnquist on two separate boards which each sold for roughly $4,000.
--A Lance Mountain board with Jimmy Cliff's signature went for $1,675.

An anonymous bidder with the username o***n purchased five of the eight decks, spending nearly $50,000.
