Disgraced former MLB slugger Jose Canseco swung and missed this weekend while trying to sell his 1988 Oakland A's ALCS championship ring.

Canseco, who was voted MVP in 1988 after becoming the first player in the sport's history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases, put the ring on eBay for $100,000. And even with free shipping, no one had matched the price by the Nov. 4 deadline.

Canseco may want to reconsider the price of the ring. Not only is it from the ALCS (and not the World Series), Canseco's name and poor reputation probably drag down the value of the ring.

Seeing as experts expect Joe DiMaggio's 1951 World Series ring to go for between $50,000 and $10,000, Canseco's price is pretty absurd.
