It seems that every week a new instance of Tebowing surfaces, but recently the phenomenon recorded what is likely a first: Inclusion in a police report.
In perhaps the most outrageous story of Tebowing yet, a man reportedly Tebowed after assaulting a teenager on a lawnmower in Pennsylvania this week.
Josh Ehrenberg, 17, was mowing his lawn outside his home when he turned around on the road and saw a vehicle. Ehrenberg said a man got out of the vehicle and clotheslined him. As the man was leaving, he mocked Ehrenberg by Tebowing on the road.
A police report acquired by The Smoking Gun describes the incident:
[The suspect] knocked the juvenile off the lawn mower and assaulted him in the front yard of the residence. The male then walked back towards his vehicle, stopping and kneeling down as if in prayer (a 'Tebow').
The suspect was described as a taller, bald male wearing glasses and possibly driving a 1980s maroon Chrysler New Yorker.
Tebowing was cute at first, and it can still be done humorously, but if true, this is appalling.
