Apparently there's only one way to celebrate signing the richest contract in the history of the NFL: With an Italian Night Club sandwich from Jimmy Johns.
At around 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Saints quarterback Drew Brees tweeted a photo of himself signing his five-year, $100 million contract. Minutes later, he tweeted that he would be celebrating with a No. 9 from Jimmy Johns, which is a popular fast-food sandwich restaurant. Brees ate at the Jimmy Johns franchise that he co-owns -- on 4301 Veterans Boulevard in the New Orleans suburb of Metairie.
In case you were wondering, the Italian Night Club sandwich comes with salami, capicola, smoked ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise and Italian vinaigrette.
Brees loves Jimmy Johns so much that he is hoping to open two more restaurants in the New Orleans area. And with Brees' fat new contract, funds should not be lacking.
