It's not often the most successful player in his sport isn't the breadwinner at home.
Sure, Tom Brady has three Super Bowl rings and loads of endorsements, but he's not close to bringing home as much bacon, or filet mignon if you will, as his famous bride. Gisele Bundchen has parlayed the title as world's most powerful supermodel into a $45 million financial windfall in 2011. Thats a jaw dropping 66 percent more than her famous husband.
Forbes reports Bundchen, 31, earns her riches from modeling, endorsement deals and independent licensing ventures. Consequently, the native of Brazil and mother of one is the 60 most powerful woman in the world.
Of course, it's hard to have much pity for her Patriots quarterbacking husband, as Brady earned $27 million in 2011, according to Forbes, via CNBC's Darren Rovell. The former Michigan player is ranked higher than Jerry Seinfeld, Tom Hanks and Alex Rodriguez on the Forbes celebrity list.
Together Brady, 34, and Gisele earned more than $72 million. They reside in Brentwood, Calif., during the NFL offseason.
