Awesome. The San Francisco Giants' marketing department has turned rotund (5-11 listed at 240 pounds) third baseman Pablo Sandoval into a high-flying, sunglass-wearing, bubble-gum chewing superhero.

We're not sure if Sandoval's bobblehead has superhuman strength, but considering he hit 23 homers last season it's possible. As for its ability to leap tall pop-ups in a single bound, that's much less likely, taking into account his 10 errors last season.

Sandoval's bobblehead will be given to the first 25,000 fans who attend the Aug. 26 game against the Atlanta Braves.

All things considered, it looks like the Giants have topped the Dodgers' "Hello Kitty" bobblehead in the latest chapter of the storied Los Angeles vs. San Francisco rivalry.
