He's going to have to wait until next year to win the Lombardi Trophy, but Tim Tebow can grab a mirror-ball trophy much sooner.

Karina Smirnoff, current owner of the coveted Dancing With The Stars prize, told People Magazine she had a special wish for her recent 34th birthday celebration.

"All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on Dancing with the Stars," Smirnoff told People over the weekend, a short time after the Pats butchered Tebow's Broncos. "Tim is a very talented athlete, that was clear when we saw his performance this past season with Denver."

A long line of booty-shaking NFL stars -- both retired and active -- have joined the show. Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp and others have done the foxtrot, samba, rumba and waltz on camera.

Smirnoff thinks Tebow should be next.

"He can run, jump, pass, throw touchdowns," Smirnoff told PEOPLE. "All [that] is missing is to see if he has the dance skills. That would make him an all around athlete and someone that I would love to dance with on the show."

Smirnoff is a football fan, though she's not a Broncos backer. She's pulling for the New York Giants, according to HauteLiving.com.

Tebow has said he plans to spend a good amount of this offseason working on philanthropy interests in the Philippines and elsewhere. Smart money says Broncos executive John Elway would rather see Tebow focus on his passing technique instead of the cha-cha-cha.
