Snooki should be the Bronx Bombers' next big free agent pick-up.

Ratings don't lie: Mike "The Situation" and the other freaks from MTV reality show "Jersey Shore," have been regularly crushing A-Rod's Yankees in head-to-head TV match-ups.

The New York Post reports the Yankees averaged 506,000 viewers over a three-game set with the Red Sox from Aug. 8 to Aug. 11. At that same time, Pauly D and Snooki averaged about 848,000 MTV viewers.

Big Apple viewers have spoken, giving MTV 40.3 percent higher ratings for the "cultural phenomenon" that is "Jersey Shore" compared to Derek Jeter's boys of summer.

Marc Berman, TV insider from Ad Week, says the New York City audience accounts for close to 10 percent of total viewers of the MTV show.

This the second consecutive year that the Bronx Bombers have come up on the wrong end of a head-to-head battle with the hit show.

The Yankees' $207 million payroll is slightly higher than the $100,000 per episode MTV is paying the fake Jersey kids. At most the eight cast members of Jersey Shore are making a combined total of $10.4 million over the 13 episodes during Season 4.

The Yankees have 10 players making $10 million or more this season: A-Rod, CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira, A.J. Burnett, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Robinson Cano and Rafael Soriano.
