Terrell Owens has signed with a fantasy football team. The former 49ers and Cowboys star is booked to guest star on the season finale of the USA Network series "Necessary Roughness."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Terrell Owens will play star defensive back Kevin "The Minefield" Minnifield, who the fictional New York Hawks will face in the postseason. "Necessary Roughness" has been a ratings winner with an average of 4.5 million total views since its series opener on the No. 1 cable network.

T.O. will also make his his big screen debut later this year in "Dysfunctional Friends." The film is a comedy/drama about a group of college friends who reunite after the sudden death of their larger-than-life friend.

Owens, 37, a free agent looking for a new team, is second among all active players with 156 touchdowns (153 receiving), trailing only LaDainian Tomlinson of the Jets. Owens is No. 1 among active players with 1,078 receptions and 15,934 yards.

T.O.'s appearance will air on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m.
