Carmelo Anthony is taking his talents to the boob tube. The New York Knicks star will appear in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU," which is set for broadcast on September 28, a week after the show's season premiere.

Melo and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat will play themselves (tough gig) in the show. The New York Post reports the episode titled "Personal Fouls" focuses around a youth basketball coach who's accused of being a sexual predator.

Dan Lauria, famous from "Wonder Years" and the broadway play "Lombardi," has the role of the coach.

Mehcad Brooks, known for "Glory Road" and "True Blood," will also have a guest role as one of the perverted coach's prodigies. Rapper Heavy D handles the role of his cousin and business manager.

Anthony is the executive producer of "La La's Full Court Life," his wife's TV series. Carmelo also got a producing credit for the 2008 documentary, "Tyson."

Bosh has even less Hollywood experience, picking up an executive producer credit for "First Ink," a 2009 documentary short.

Bosh and Anthony will be shown at the beginning and ending of the NBC show.
