It takes a strong man to cry in public.

Ron Artest did just that as he spent the weekend in Las Vegas enjoying all Sin City has to offer.

The Lakers star, with lots of free time during the NBA lockout, was able to meet one of his idols, singer Celine Dion, after her Caesars Palace show on Saturday.

Celine, a five-time Grammy Award winner, has sold more than 200 million albums around the world. It appears certain NBA players have purchased a few of them.

Artest, soon to be known as Metta World Peace, informed his 153,000 Twitter followers about his groupie status for the Canadian singer.

Then, a few minutes later, Artest tweeted about how emotional he became watching Dion perform in person (see below).

Artest went backstage after the show for pictures, uploading the photo you see in this story as his main Twitter picture.

Dion charges between $55.00 and $1,375.00 (plus taxes and fees) to see her Las Vegas show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
