Beloved former Raiders punter Ray Guy, facing a bankruptcy case, has sold his three Super Bowl rings for a total price of $80,180 at auction.

Bloomberg reports Guy, 61, filed for bankruptcy protection in Augusta, Ga., back in April 2010, getting permission this May to sell his rings.

During 14 seasons in the NFL, Guy punted 1049 times for 44,541 yards and a career average of
42.4 yards per punt. The seven-time Pro Bowler won Super Bowls in Oakland following the 1976 and 1980 seasons and then with the Los Angeles version of the Silver & Black in 1983. He outpunted his opponents in each of the Raiders Super Bowl victories.

Each of Guy's rings from the Raiders is said to contain at least 22 diamonds.

Guy is perhaps the most famous punter of all time. The Ray Guy Award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate punter.
