Robinson Cano was the big winner on the field in the 2011 Homer Run Derby, and off it in the world of micro blogging.

MLB reports that the Yankees second baseman led the 23 All-Stars who tweeted on the field during the big fly party.

Cano increased his Twitter following by a stunning 84 percent during the 18-hour time period.

The 23 players combined to add 121,428 new followers. An averaged of 5,279 additional fans per player who participated.

They sent a combined 223 tweets during the home run derby, earning more than 18,000 mentions back to their Twitter accounts.

The Blue Jays (+185 percent), Yankees (+174 percent) and Phillies (+131 percent) all picked up more than double their daily average of Twitter followers.
