The slugging first baseman was voted most likely Yankee to succeed as a contestant on the popular TV game show "Jeopardy."

Teixeira, who attended Georgia Tech, is the guy his New York teammates turn to about world events and random factoids.

Outfielder Brett Gardner, a walk-on at the College of Charleston, was the runner-up to Teixeira when it comes to potential "Jeopardy" skills.

The Wall Street Journal surveyed 18 players (Robinson Cano. Freddy Garcia, Andruw Jones, Curtis Granderson, Mark Teixeira, Nick Swisher, Brett Gardner, Nate Robertson, Boone Logan, Luis Ayala. Ramiro Pena, Sergio Mitre, Eduardo Nunez, A.J. Burnett, CC Sabathia, Jorge Posada, Phil Hughes and Francisco Cervelli) for their thoughts on random questions.
