LeBron James is getting closer to winning a Premiere League title instead of an NBA championship.

James, with lots of extra time on his hands because of the pro basketball lockout, plans to spend some of it on the pitch.

The Miami Heat bad boy, already minority owner in Liverpool F.C., an English professional football club, is hoping to expand his financial investment in the Premier League team.

Footybunker.com, a soccer gossip site, reports King James is looking to cash in on Liverpool F.C.'s success. Owner John Henry, who also runs the Red Sox, has tapped LeBron's celebrity to reach fans in the United States.

James has done his part, wearing Liverpool merchandise to several post-game NBA playoff news-conferences.

No word yet on how much more James will invest in the 119-year-old soccer club, stay tuned.
