The Sharks and Kings will face off Saturday in the first outdoor NHL game in northern California. Levi's Stadium, home of the 49ers, has been transformed into a hockey rink. Check out how that happened:

The NHL has three outdoor games scheduled for next season.
Boston will host Montreal in the Winter Classic on New Year's Day at Gillette Stadium. The Bruins already played a Winter Classic game at Fenway Park in 2010. In February the Wild and Blackhawks will play at the University of Minnesota's football stadium, and the Avalanche and Red Wings skate at Coors Field in Denver.
