This probably happens in a lot of houses around the world. Kids get all hopped up on Christmas candy and giddy from Santa's deliveries, and with all that energy and enthusiasm, someone somehow ends up taking a tumble into the Christmas tree. The zany crew at the NBA on TNT often displays child-like sensibilities, and its Christmas telecast was another example.
