Rays leftfielder Matt Joyce is batting .266 with 3 home runs, 26 RBI and a hole-in-one on the season.

During Rays batting practice Thursday, Joyce tipped a ball that hit the top of the batting cage. Miraculously the ball ricocheted and landed back in the pitching machine -- and returned fire at the lefty batter.

A Tropicana Field camera caught the fluke on video.

So not only did Joyce manage to hit a hole-in-one, he essentially pitched a strike to himself just seconds later.

For the team's sake, he can replicate that batting accuracy in games to help lift Tampa Bay, which is floundering in last place of the American League East.
