If Vernon Davis' holdout continues much longer, the San Francisco 49ers may want to look in a new direction for their tight end position.
And it appears Colin Kaepernick has stumbled upon just the man for the job.
During his recent youth camp in San Francisco, Kaepernick connected with 7-year-old Jabari Taylor on a short pass. Taylor proceeded to celebrate like he just scored the biggest touchdown of his life. And the results are adorable.
This video of Taylor celebrating has attracted more than 100,000 views on YouTube in less than one week:
Kaepernick, who recently signed a six-year extension worth up to $126 million, has a unique ability to engage with his young fans. After San Francisco's divisional-round victory over Carolina in January, Kaepernick wore a vest designed by a 13-year-old supporter.
In February, Kaepernick and Cam Newton co-hosted the "Hall of Game" award show on Cartoon Network. The duo hilariously covered Katy Perry's hit song "Roar."
Kaepernick, it should be noted, threw a pass to each of the 300 kids who attended his camp:
