Ah, the perils of live television.
During a news report from the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas, a sportscaster eager to see tipoff ended his standup a bit early so he could rush into the arena. Unfortunately for the reporter, Paul Cicala of KVOA News 4 in Tucson, he was tripped up by his own two feet.
At the end of the video below, Cicala can be seen running to the MGM Grand in an attempt to get inside for the beginning of the game. But after handing off his microphone he stumbles and eats dirt. Check it out:
Cicala had a good sense of humor about the incident afterwards on Twitter:
About to go live in Las Vegas with Pac-12 Tourney wrap and AZ - I promise no to RUN in traffic & "trip" :)@KVOA at 10 pic.twitter.com/w3rXWs2Y9z

@bentasia stop, drop and roll.... Then keep sprinting along to MGM to make deadline... But, it cut off as I was "trippin out" literally :)
