A Cal student unintentionally reinforced the school's brainy reputation this week during his school's basketball game against archrival Stanford.

During a break in the action, the cameras cut to announcers Dave Pasch and Bill Walton. While Walton launches into one of his signature anecdotes, behind the camera we can see a student begin to work on a Rubik's Cube. The student doesn't appear to know he's on camera, although this could certainly be a stunt.

By the time Walton is done with comparing the Cal-Stanford game to California governor Jerry Brown, the student is nearly done with the puzzle. He takes down the Rubik's Cube with blazing speed.
