It's normally not a compliment to say someone is a bumbling idiot, but when applied to sportscaster Paul Gerke's performance on Halloween, it is quite apt.

Gerke dressed up as Ron Burgundy, Will Ferrell's character in Anchorman, and he nailed his broadcast. Here are a couple of the highlights:

"Here's the AP top ten, I believe the parenthesis denote the number of players on each team. So no wonder Kentucky is so good."

"Idaho's ice hockey team will have a new half-robot, half-man guarding the goal. Garrett Bartus is UConn's all-time saves leader. Don't act like you're not impressed."

Gerke even throws in a plug for Dodge, a reference to the commercials that Ferrell has been doing in character.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter, Gerke's followers were quite satisfied.
