After a rousing performance at Penn State on Thursday, Macklemore had a special way of thanking the school for its support.

The popular rapper, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, posted this video to Instagram of him nailing a no-look shot from halfcourt. As with all videos of this nature, there's a slight chance it's not real. But this looks pretty authentic:

Macklemore is a huge sports fan, specifically a Seattle fan, and he recently expressed his displeasure with the fact that the Oklahoma City Thunder was playing one of his songs to get fans pumped up for games. The Thunder, as you may remember, relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City.

Macklemore is a noted sneakerhead, and he's said his obsession with shoes started with his favorite player, Michael Jordan.

The 30-year-old Macklemore has done pretty well for himself recently, with two of his singles reaching the top of the charts. But if things don't work out in music, he may be able to score a spot on Penn State's bench.

You've got to admit, he'd look pretty good in a Penn State jersey.
