Sometimes, it's a tough life being a kicker on a football team. No one notices you until the game's on the line. You're not really big enough to intimidate anyone. And most, importantly, sometimes you don't get invited to media day to answer dozens of questions from reporters about everything from next season to your favorite pregame meal.

So this week, Northwestern kicker Jeff Budzien decided to take matters into his own hands and crash Big Ten media day. He interviewed other kickers, his teammates and even hopped up on stage with a handmade name tag when it was Northwestern's time to face the media.

Perhaps our favorite part of the video is when he goes to interview Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald: "Where's your tie?"

Budzien: "Left it at home with my invite ..."

Fitzgerald: "Well kickers aren't allowed to be here ..."

The conversation was then interrupted by the kicker from Indiana.

Fitzgerald: "I think we offered him before we offered you. It's too bad -- he's having a good career too."

Budzien, a senior, converted 19 of 20 field goal attempts last season, including 6 of 7 from 40 yards or longer.
