For 8-year-old Atticus Lane-Dupre, simply taking the field against the Portland Timbers would have been enough.
But Lane-Dupre, who is battling cancer, didn't stop there. Playing with his youth team, the Green Machine, Lane-Dupre scored the game-winning goal off of a corner kick to defeat a squad comprised of Timbers players.
More than 3,000 fans came out to watch the match at Jeld-Wen Field, which was arranged by the Timbers and Make-A-Wish Oregon.

Thanks to the generosity of teams across the country, a few other kids with cancer have had the opportunity to get on the field with their favorite teams in recent weeks. And these acts of kindness never get old.
