College basketball is fun and all, but here's a competition that truly adds the madness to March.
The 32nd World Coal Shoveling Championships just took place on the island of Tasmania, and they were just as bizarre as you would expect. The idea is simple: Transfer as much coal into the disposal as possible.
Mal Woods won the competition, but as you can see in the video, his lack of athleticism may cast some doubt over those who want to call this competition a "sport."
Does this take the cake for weirdest world championships? Maybe not, seeing as people actually gather to see how far they can throw a cell phone.
(H/T to Game On!)
