When the Notre Dame students rushed the court following the Fighting Irish's thrilling five-overtime win over the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, that was actually the second time the students were flooding the hardwood.

The first came many hours before that, during a taping of ESPN College GameDay at Purcell Pavilion.

As is tradition on the show, a student from the host school got the chance to take halfcourt shots with an $18,000 prize on the line. On Saturday it was Casey Murdock, a senior at Notre Dame. Murdock had 18 seconds to drain a half-court shot, and as you'll see below, he made it look easy.

After a 32-week drought in which dozens of students came away empty-handed, this is the second time a participant has drained the shot on ESPN College GameDay in less than a month. On Jan. 19, Butler student Kevin Schwartz nailed his first attempt.
