The popularity of trick-shot videos has exploded so much in the past few years that the genre is reaching a saturation point. Professional trick-shot specialists produce high-end segments, while slick editors generate clips that prompt real-or-fake discussions.

So much for genuine and spontaneous feelings of wonder and astonishment.

This clip from 8-year-old LeBron James Jr., launching shots from a balcony, provides a little more of that uncontrived feel.

Give the youngster, perhaps better known as Bronny, some credit for sticking with it after not connecting on his first few attempts. And the misses add to the extemporaneous quality of the clip, which is posted on LeBronJames.com. That's also reflected in the exuberant celebration from the cameraman (who doesn't quite sound like LeBron The Elder so perhaps he's a friend, neighbor or relative).
