Many Detroit Tigers fans, including Mike Stone of Detroit’s 97.1 The Ticket, left the Tigers for dead when they fell three games behind the Chicago White Sox with 16 games left to play. In fact, Stone was so confident that he bet his chest hair on the Tigers' playoff hopes.
And now, Stone's chest is the victim of his ill-fated wager.
Because the Tigers won the American League Central, Stone had to get his chest waxed on live radio. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, cameras were also in studio.
That looks like it hurt. But Stone should be thankful that this was his only punishment. As we've seen before, it could have been much worse.
