The life of a collegiate walk-on can be extremely tiring. Not only is this athlete playing a varsity sport, he or she is also a full-time student who must find a way to pay tuition. These students are known for their relentless work ethics, going the extra mile during team activities in the hopes of one day receiving a scholarship.

For Vanderbilt fullback Marc Panu, that day came this week. During a team meeting, coach James Franklin commended Panu for his hard work in practice, showing the entire team how much effort Panu had put in.

Then Franklin made Panu's day, and probably his year, by offering the redshirt junior a full scholarship.

Gotta love the Vanderbilt team meetings. You never know what's going to happen next.
