We've seen how important it is to pay attention at a baseball game. If you avert your eyes or turn your back to the action, anything can happen.

On Wednesday, one unfortunate vendor at Wrigley Field was in the absolute wrong place at the absolute wrong time. It was the top of the third inning and Jose Reyes was at bat. Pitcher Jeff Samardzija had Reyes in the hole with an 0-2 count, but Reyes managed to smoke a 96 MPH fastball over the right field wall.

The ball smacks an unsuspecting vendor in the lower back.

Ouch.

You gotta feel for this vendor, whose back goes through enough pain during the course of a season. On the bright side, he probably had lots of ice handy to put on the sore spot.
