Who needs Gatorade when you've got pickle juice?

Boise State's star running back, Jay Ajayi, was seen gulping down the liquid from an actual jar of pickles on the sidelines of Boise State's 42-20 win over Air Force.

And while this might seem ridiculous, there's science behind Ajayi's strategy. Pickle juice is full of electrolytes, which are what a player needs to replenish after grueling physical activity, and its benefits for athletes have been documented. But this one instance where we can actually see the theory being put to practice.

And the juice worked for Ajayi. The sophomore rushed for 125 yards and four touchdowns against Air Force.
