Rickie Fowler earned his first PGA Tour win in his 67th start as a pro Sunday when he prevailed in a three-way playoff at Quail Hollow.
Fowler birdied on the first extra hole to beat world No. 1 Rory McIlroy and D.A. Points for the Wells Fargo Championship.
He picked up a first-place purse of $1.17 million.
