Who says mascots are just a pretty (or funny? face) A new montage shows the intense training the Butler Bulldog has gone through to get ready for his school's switch into the Big East coming this season.
The new bulldog, Trip, replaced the beloved Blue II as the university's mascot earlier this year.
While retirement may be difficult for Blue II, "he" tweeted his support for his replacement earlier this week:
Proud day at @butleru. I like to think I had a part in getting us to the @bigeastconf so it's tough to watch from sidelines of retirement.

But I sure am glad @ButlerBlue3 is around to make these videos! #ButlerBIGEAST http://t.co/tu66GybLER

The montage was filmed by a Butler student, Tim Valentine, according to a report in The Indianapolis Star.
"It probably took about a month to film it,” he told the paper. “I’d leave class and go somewhere with Michael and Trip on campus and we’d just say ‘What shots can we get today?’ We sat and brainstormed a lot.”
“I’m honestly surprised at how much people like it,” he added.
