We know that cats may perceive sight differently than humans, but it is still unclear exactly what and how felines see.

Now, a trending YouTube video that doubles as a fascinating science experiment may give us some clues to the eyesight of cats.

In the clip, a piece of paper with the classic "rotating snake" optical illusion is presented to a feline. Not only does the cat see the illusion, it appears to be quite confused by the paper.

YouTube user "rasmusab" has taken this experiment to the next level, even creating a Google Doc where people can record how their own cats responded to optical illusions.

Cats aren't the only animals that have the ability to perceive optical illusions. Studies suggest that owls may also be able to see these tricks as well.
