Since LeBron James signed a deal with Warner Brothers a week ago, anyone with a cinematic taste has been asking the same question: Is LeBron about to star in Space Jam 2?

While James ignores that question and promotes his current work of art, Trainwreck, life goes on for the Looney Tunes. This time, rather than take a basketball player to their world, the Looney Tunes came up (or for this particular character, down) to earth.

In a video released on by the Jordan Brand, Marvin the Martian challenges Clippers star Blake Griffin to a dunk-off.

It is important to remember Marvin the Martian was the referee in Space Jam and did not get a chance to take the floor for the Tune Squad. Perhaps he has been itching to get onto the court and show off his game ever since.

Griffin, the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion, appears overmatched by the extraterrestrial cartoon until he receives a fresh pair of Jordan Super.Fly 4s from Bugs Bunny. The new sneakers make the competition more even.

Michael Jordan's name was mentioned, but no sign of James. Who knows? Maybe Griffin is destined to be the star of Space Jam 2.

Or maybe the star of the Monstars.

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos of Griffin, who must be applauded for crushing the acting game in this instance:
