Ben Zobrist is living the life right now. After a World Series championship with the Royals last year, Zobrist signed a four-year, $56 million contract with his boyhood team, the Cubs. He moved his family into a Wrigleyville home (remember when he biked from his house to Wrigley Field in full uniform?) and proceeded to start in the All-Star Game, drive in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning of Game 7 in Cleveland and win World Series MVP.
Back at home Thursday, Zobrist's celebrity appeal was noticeable in his front yard. And he embraced it. Zobrist patiently signed autographs for a line of kids down the block.

Showing why he's the #MVP, @benzobrist18 is talking to every single neighbor 1 on 1.. not just signing autographs. #WorldSeries

There's a line formed of people waiting for an autograph but he's also talking to everyone individually thanking them for their support. https://t.co/QqPmbKLZ0t

"It wasn’t planned," Zobrist told WGN. "I just came outside holding baby talking to neighbors. Next thing you know, people asking for autographs."
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood of Wrigleyville.
